Upon your arrival at Caledonia Golf & Fish Club in Pawleys Island, just south of Myrtle Beach, it quickly becomes evident you are on special, almost sacred, grounds. Built on an old rice plantation, the grand entrance takes golfers back in time through rows of twisted live oaks and hanging Spanish moss to reach the Old South-style clubhouse. Wasn’t happy being rushed to golf starting around the 6th hole. We were keeping up with the group ahead of us. With the money we paid we were told if we didn’t speed up we might have to skip a hole. Not happy

A great lay-out but very obvious all they care about is maximizing profits. Traps were a joke, haven’t been machine raked in weeks. Slow bumpy greens with multiple grass types growing. So disappointed as this used to be a MB gem! Terrrible!

In my opinion the best course in Myrtle Beach. Beautiful and stunning backdrops, azaleas in full bloom along the ponds. Course was in amazing condition and the layout was very enjoyable. Staff were excellent, and the fish chowder at the turn was a great touch to the authenticity of the area. #1 course and experience for our trip!
