About the course

Why golfers play Oyster Bay Golf Links

For over 40 years, Oyster Bay has been a favorite choice for Myrtle Beach Golfers. Oyster Bay combines a rare, harmonious blend of penal, heroic and strategic philosophies of golf course architecture. The challenging course is exceptionally fair, a course where variety and innovation are the names of game and no two holes are the same. Golf Digest rated Oyster Bay 4.5 stars in "Places to Play" and ranked it "Best New Resort Course of the Year." The par 70 course plays under 6,400 yards, however, its cavernous bunkers, wickedly undulating greens and lengthy par 4's make Oyster Bay a true test of one's mettle.

“Layout a 5, greens a 1...understanding how dry it has been, these greens need a complete overhaul”

Benney · Charlotte
★★★★★

“Greens and fairways were good but tee boxes and cart paths were poor. Also outside of fairways the course is in poor condition. Staff were friendly and food was good.”

Ted · Levittowm
★★★★★

“Greens were in below average condition. They start groups on split tees which resulted in huge backups on the course. Cart guys and marshals were impolite. Tons of alligators to see on course.”

Dustin · Knoxville
★★★★★

“Course condition for the price was not favorable cart paths very rough, greens and surrounding areas in tough condition. A lot of gators which is cool to see.”

Justin · Abingdon
★★★★★

“Cart paths were in terrible condition. No markings at the holes. No directions to where the next hole is. Can be very confusing for first time players at that course.”

John · Ottawa
★★★★

“Course was good, would play again. BUT, WILL NEVER PLAY it again. Rangers were absolute A..holes. Threatening to force me to jump forward a hole when we were hole and a half ahead. Both rangers were d..cks from the start.”

Jeremy · Athens
★★★★★

“The course did not seem to be in great shape based on when I played a handful of years back.”
