The Players Championship is one of the hottest tickets on Tour each year. Featuring an exciting three-hole finish that’s difficult to match, TPC Sawgrass rewards the bold and the accurate. The 16th hole is a reachable par 5 and it typically produces late-round drama, as water can easily swallow any shot hit right or long. Every hole is a test for pros with water lurking around each corner. Water is the viewer’s best friend and the golfer’s worst nightmare on one of the most famous golf holes in the world – 17 at Sawgrass. The “island” green typically plays at a mere 137 yards, but the pressure of the shot and all of the eyes that are watching make it one of the biggest spectacles in golf. If players safely navigate 17, more water awaits them at a difficult finishing hole. The 18th hole at TPC Sawgrass features water along the entire left side of the hole. Fearless players cut the corner and attempt to shorten their approach shot, but even wayward approaches can find the drink.
