About the course
Why golfers play Legends Heathland
The par 71 Heathland course, designed by Tom Doak, is a return to the old country traditions of the game. It is molded in the image of the links courses of the British Isles, with holes reminiscent of St. Andrews and lesser known gems such as Lahinch and Cruden Bay. Most holes play without trees or high vegetation, giving a visual presentation like no other course in the area. The challenge comes from the unobstructed breeze that blows constantly across the course, the strategically placed bunkers and the lush, deep rough bordering the fairways, and many greenside bunkers are deep enough to require creative shotmaking to escape. GOLF Magazine rated it among the Top 10 New Resort Courses in the world when it opened in 1990.

★★★★★“Greens were bad”
★★★★★“Course was great and in good shape.”
★★★★★“Check in guy was kind of rude and not real convenient not being able to drive to the range. Course was in good shape and decent pace of play/”
★★★★★“Great layout and really fun course to play. The greens were awful though, seemingly having some sort of mixed grass types that caused them to be very bumpy. Also the beverage cart service was non-existent. We teed off at 8:12 on a Saturday morning and didnt see the beverage cart until the 18th hole. That is insane.”
★★★★★“We were the second group off at 812 and the starter made us feel rushed by telling us which TEE to play and to keep a good pace and not fall behind. We played the front nine in 1:55 and then had to wait on the tenth tee for 45 minutes as there were five groups ahead of us”
★★★★★“Very nice set up. The starters and staff moved a heck of a lot of golfers through the course and smoothly.”
★★★★★“Course was fun and straightforward. It was in pretty good shape and was an enjoyable play. It was the easiest of those we played. The only issue was the amount of people on the course. It took about 5 hours and 15 minutes to finish 18 which was a bit annoying waiting in between shots.”
★★★★★“Favorite course. Challenging but fair.”
★★★★★“I thought the course was in nice shape. did not like the way we were treated in the pro shop. no chance of a replay was disappointing. I wouldn't book legends again.”
★★★★★“Beautiful course, vary tuff for my game play.”
★★★★★“Unfortunately Golf Masters screwed up and did not book it played Parkland twice”
★★★★★“Best course to play after Moorland. Still challenging with friendlier fairways.”
★★★★★“Great course. Easier than moorland, but still plenty challenging.”
